Venetian Blinds are still one of the most popular styles of blind today and are available in over one hundred colour options. They are a great option for covering larger window areas.
Venetians are raised by use of a pull cord and the slats tilted by using a rod, which can control the amount of light that filters into your room.
These fittings can appear on the same side of the blind or one on each side, which can be specified when you place your order.

Venetian Style Options
The slats themselves can be plain, textured or perforated. They are available in a variety of shades, including bold colours, wood effects and reflective metallic finishes. Samples of all available styles can be seen at our showroom or we can bring swatches to your home to compare alongside your existing furnishings.
Slats are available in different thicknesses (16mm, 25mm, 35mm and 50mm). Wider slats can create a very elegant look although you need to ensure that they are sufficient distance from the window to be opened without obstruction from handles, etc.
Cleaning Venetian Blinds
Venetian blinds are fairly easy to maintain although when dusting or wiping them, use care to ensure that you don’t dent the aluminium slats and leave permanent creases.
Due to the fact that they are aluminium, going across them with a feather duster is a good weekly maintenance option. You can also by a cleaning tool that allows you to dust multiple slats at once.
For occasional deeper cleaning or for more stubborn marks, wipe with a slightly damp cloth and buff afterwards with a soft dry cloth.
Adding matching or contrasting tapes to your blinds creates a more sophisticated look and helps to disguise the cords.
Child-safety elements come as standard with all of our blinds, with a child safety box included for keeping cords out of reach.
Alternatively you can request wand control for opening slats and raising the blinds.
You can also opt to have Perfect Fit frames. Venetians within these frames have no need for cords at all and therefore no visible holes.
